This is for the following reasons: 1) Our website & messages on YouTube are very clear in what we believe & stand for & this should be the only reason besides the Lord leading you to Harvest why you want to come. 2) It is my view (the Lord convicted me about this a while ago) that it is irrelevant how the pastors & leadership look like. 1 Samuel 16:7b: The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 3) We are here only to glorify Jesus & not ourselves, a pastor is a servant & the church is the "vehicle" in the kingdom. You’re seeing things every day that you didn’t think you would see in your lifetime! It must be the last days. Up is down, and black is white. Evil is good and good is evil. But some of these items listed, I never could have imagined. Here is just my latest short list of things I didn’t think I would see: 1)  Per Tucker Carlson, I have a brain virus because I support Israel. Who could have imagined such an accusation? As a self-proclaimed Christian, Tucker surely doesn’t know the Bible, which is as pro-Israel as you can get! “He that keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.” (Psalm 121:4) Nor does he understand the word “irrevocable” (Romans 11:29), which tells us God keeps His promises (to the Jews).  2)  I never thought that I would get worn out, exhausted, and depleted from warning the clueless that time is running out. This is a new level of delusional thinking that life will only get better despite all the biblical warnings. It’s all falling apart, folks, so that last day’s issues can fall into place! Happy days are only in eternity. 3) The fact that we keep celebrating evil is mind-blowing and the essence of perilous times: Israel’s October 7 and the election of a radical—Zohran Mamdani as NY City Mayor. It’s beyond our imagination. First we cheered for Hamas and now for Mamdani. Why do we keep having sympathy for the devil? I had hoped that died with the Rolling Stones. How will Mamdani honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 next year? Does this bother anybody else? 4)  I never thought I would see, and I can’t understand, why most churches stayed silent after October 7, but those same churches were silent after Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September of this year. What gives? Why will pulpits today not take a stand? 5)  A violent school shooting—Annunciation Catholic School—transpired last August, a few miles from where I grew up in Minneapolis. The takeaway, sadly, was that no one should exercise “thoughts and prayers.” Not that blue cities like mine don’t work and that they draw criminals like a magnet. But that prayers were a worthless waste of time. Who could have imagined such a twisted conclusion? What a sign of the times! The predicted mockery is displayed. 6)  I didn’t think I would live to see antisemitism become normalized and even celebrated post-WW2. Zohran Mamdani won his mayoral election because he hated Jews. It is the new normal. Will this drive more Jews to Israel? You can count on it. Once again, they are running for their lives because there is only one safe haven for them. That is how God designed it. 7)  I couldn’t imagine the day when hundreds of thousands of Christians would be slaughtered in parts of Africa, and I would have to hunt for details. Why does no one care that over 200,000 have been killed? Since the victims weren’t Palestinians, I guess no one cared. No Jews, no news. 8)  I still can’t believe that a new study from George Barna’s Cultural Research Center reveals that millions of Americans no longer see many behaviors once considered sinful as wrong at all. In short, the very definition of sin is being rewritten. Mankind has become its own priest, pastor, prophet, and moral authority, and all are doing what is right in their own eyes. (Judges 17:6; Deut.12:8). 9) I didn’t think I would see the fulfillment of the red-green alliance—Islam and Marxism merging in my lifetime. Forget New York, my hometown, Minneapolis, barely dodged another Islamic mayoral victory. Our “Little Mogadishu” hosts almost 100,000 Muslims here in town and elects and celebrates Ilhan Omar. Twenty-four years after 9/11, the country is saying “Allah Akbar” in too many places. How about the global shia Islamic center now open in Houston? How have we allowed this?  My friend, Phil Haney, warned us but he was mysteriously bumped off right after I met with him in 2021. Did you notice Al Qaeda made it into the White House on November 10? 10) And I never thought I would see prophecy conferences across America and the world close one-by-one. Covid did terrible damage and brought mine to an end a few years ago. But they continue to fall due to lack of interest, age of attendees, and the fact that so few comprehend the lateness of the hour so attendance has been sinking!  So, these are just ten points in my latest list of things I didn’t expect to see! But one thing never changes: the fact that Jesus is coming again and we must not be silent. Somebody’s eternity depends on it. In John 16:20-24, there was chaos, and the world rejoiced at the death of Jesus, just like the world rejoices at the evil today. Yet, there will come a time when people will rejoice because of God’s glorious promises coming to pass. The world is gloriously dark now because we are being prepared for the glorious Son of God who will bring great light.

I don't know about you, but reading the news headlines is mind blowing lately. I will never again say: It can't get any worse, because when we reached a low, things are still getting worse by the week, or should I say by the day. Some of the low points over the last weeks: We are now in "pride" month. Who would have ever thought that sexual perversion is celebrated for a whole month. Australia under the "leadership" of Anthony Albanese & Penny Wong voted in the UN for a Two State "Solution", which effectively is supporting Hamas The weak & biased leadership of the 2 mentioned above is indirectly encouraging all the insidious protests around the country against Israel, who has like any other nation the right to defend itself against terrorists. Last month at the UN & US Senate the had a moment of silence to honour the death of "The butcher of Teheran", honestly has the world gone mad? The Au government & Biden's policies are uncanny similar: Unbridled immigration, bad economical policies, soft on crime. It seems somebody else is pulling the strings. Can it really be God's will that His children be silent at a time like this? It is time for battle, not a time for "fence sitting" & cowardice that masquerades as as godly meekness &  obedience. There are haunting similarities between today's "Western" church and the German church of the 1930's.  "Cheap grace" has taken the spiritual vitality of millions of Christians.  Paying lip service to the Gospel, they shrink from resisting the evils of our time.  As Bonhoeffer & other heroes of the faith insisted; the church has a vital role in the culture & condition of a nation.  It is our  duty to fight the powers of darkness, especially on behalf of the weak & vulnerable. Silence is not an option. God calls us to defend the life of the unborn, to confront the lies of cultural Marxism, and to battle the globalist tyranny  that crushes human freedom.

This would also largely apply to the Greek / Russian Orthodox, JW's , Mormons & 7th Day Adventists, as they believe in God but trust in tradition, works, wrongly translated Scripture, wrong interpretations & commentaries (I would even include Hyper Calvinists in this category) & other "sacred" writings & making them equal or higher than the Biblical final authority. If you are going to share the Gospel with Catholics etc, stop making the mistake of starting with Mary, statues, candles, the pope, or every side issue people like to argue about. Start with the Gospel. A lot of Catholics already use Christian language. They will say they believe Jesus is the Son of God. They will say He died on the cross. They will say He rose again. So the issue is usually not whether they know the right names and events. The issue is what they are trusting in. Are they trusting in Christ alone, or are they trusting in Christ plus the church system? Christ plus sacraments. Christ plus confession. Christ plus penance. Christ plus religious duty. Christ plus their own effort. That is where the real conversation needs to go. Do not waste the whole discussion chasing branches when the root is sitting right there. Ask simple questions. What are you trusting in to be saved? If you died today, why should God let you into heaven? Do you believe Jesus finished the work completely, or do you believe the church helps keep that work going through the sacramental system? That gets to the real issue fast. Because the Gospel is not that Jesus made salvation possible and now the church helps distribute it. The Gospel is not that Christ opened the door and the sinner must keep himself in grace through rituals and religious performance. The Gospel is that Christ paid the debt in full, rose again, and saves completely those who trust in Him. That is why the Bible says what it says. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are you saved through faith… not of works.” Romans 4:5 says God justifies “him that works not, but believes.” Titus 3:5 says, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done.” And in John 19:30, Jesus said, “It is finished.” If it is finished, then no priest is finishing it. No sacrament is finishing it. No penance is finishing it. No church system is finishing it. Christ finished it. That does not mean the conversation has to be harsh. You do not need to come in acting like every Catholic is your enemy. A lot of them have never clearly heard the biblical Gospel separated from the Roman system. Many have spent their whole life under a religious structure that keeps them looking to rituals, priests, confession, and performance instead of resting fully in the finished work of Christ. Some of them are exhausted. Some of them are scared. Some of them have spent years trying to be good enough, clean enough, faithful enough, and religious enough, and still have no assurance. That is where the true Gospel shines. You are not offering them a better denomination. You are not trying to win them to Protestant culture. You are pointing them to the only Saviour who actually saves. Jesus did not come to create a system where sinners spend their lives wondering if they have done enough. He came to save sinners. Completely. So keep bringing it back to the one question that matters most. How is a guilty sinner made right with a holy God? Not by works. Not by ritual. Not by church membership. Not by sacraments. Not by human priests. By grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone. That is the message. And that is exactly why so many religious people stumble over it. Because man loves systems where he can still feel involved in earning something. But the Gospel crushes human pride. It tells the sinner that he brings nothing but guilt, and Christ brings everything. That is the message Catholics need too. Not more religion. Not more ritual. Not more Rome. They need Christ. The real Christ. The sufficient Christ. The crucified and risen Christ. The Christ who saves to the uttermost all who come to God by Him. If they will stop trusting in the system and trust in the Saviour, that is where life begins. When sharing the gospel with a Catholic, don’t begin by attacking the pope, Mary, statues, confession booths or church traditions. Those conversations may eventually matter, but they aren’t the gospel. Start with Jesus Christ. Many Catholics sincerely believe in God. They believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on the cross and rose from the dead. The real question is where they’re placing their trust for salvation. Are they trusting completely in the finished work of Jesus Christ, or are they also trusting in baptism, sacraments, confession, penance, good works and membership in the Catholic Church? The gospel is clearly defined in Scripture: “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you… How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” -1 Corinthians 15:1, 3–4 Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again. Salvation is received by faith in Him. It isn’t earned through religious performance. “For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” -Ephesians 2:8–9 Ask them a simple question: “If you died today and stood before God, why should He allow you into heaven?” Then listen carefully. If they begin listing baptism, confirmation, communion, confession, good deeds, keeping commandments or belonging to the Catholic Church, lovingly explain that none of those things can remove sin. Our best works can’t pay a debt that only the blood of Jesus Christ could pay. When Jesus died on the cross, He said: “It is finished.” -John 19:30 He didn’t say, “I started it, and now you must complete it through the church.” The price was paid in full. There are three major errors that need to be addressed when sharing the gospel with a Catholic. 1. SALVATION ISN’T EARNED THROUGH SACRAMENTS OR RELIGIOUS WORKS Catholicism teaches salvation through a system involving baptism, sacraments, confession, penance and continued faithfulness to the Church. The Bible says salvation is the free gift of God, received by faith in Jesus Christ. “For by grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” -Ephesians 2:8–9 Good works should follow salvation, but they can’t produce salvation. We aren’t saved because we were baptized, took communion, confessed to a priest or completed enough religious duties. We’re saved because Jesus Christ completely paid for our sins at the cross. His work saves us. Our works don’t help Him finish it. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” -Romans 6:23 A gift is received. It isn’t earned, purchased or deserved. 2. JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY MEDIATOR Catholics are often taught to pray through Mary, ask departed saints for intercession and confess sins to a priest. Scripture says there is only one mediator between God and humanity. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” -1 Timothy 2:5 Mary was blessed among women, but she isn’t our mediator, our advocate or the queen of heaven. Departed saints aren’t instructed to receive our prayers. No earthly priest can take the place that belongs to Jesus Christ. Every believer can come directly to God through Christ. “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace.” -Hebrews 4:16 Jesus is enough. We don’t need another mediator standing between us and Him. 3. THE BIBLE IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY, NOT CHURCH TRADITION Catholicism places church tradition and official church teaching alongside Scripture as authorities for doctrine. Jesus warned about religious traditions replacing the Word of God. “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition.” -Mark 7:13 Church leaders can be wrong. Councils can be wrong. Traditions can be wrong. God’s Word is the standard by which every doctrine must be tested. The Bereans were praised because they checked what they were being taught against Scripture. “They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” -Acts 17:11 Ask your Catholic friend to do the same thing. Don’t ask them to replace Catholic tradition with Protestant tradition. Ask them to open the Bible and see what God actually said. The question isn’t, “What has my church always taught?” The question is, “What does the Word of God say?” Don’t make the conversation about whether Catholics are good or bad people. None of us are good enough. Every person, Catholic or Protestant, has sinned and needs the same Savior. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” -Romans 3:23 The issue isn’t whether someone is religious. The issue is whether they’ve been born again. Jesus told Nicodemus, a deeply religious man: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” -John 3:3 A person can attend church, receive sacraments, memorize prayers, wear a cross and still never personally trust Christ for salvation. Religion can teach someone about Jesus without teaching them to rest completely in Jesus. Encourage them to read the Gospel of John for themselves. Don’t simply ask them to take your word over the Catholic Church. Ask them to compare every teaching with the Word of God. The goal isn’t to win an argument, mock their family or embarrass them about their religion. The goal is to lead them away from trusting in a religious system and toward trusting completely in the Savior. Be patient. Be direct. Open the Bible. Ask questions. Let Scripture do the heavy lifting. Tell them the truth plainly.. Salvation isn’t found in Rome. Salvation isn’t found in a denomination. Salvation isn’t found in sacraments, priests, saints, traditions or religious works. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. His blood is enough. His sacrifice is enough. His resurrection is enough. His finished work is enough. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.” -Acts 16:31

Losing the Fear of God to the Fear of Man Somewhere along the way, the Church has lost the weight of what it has been entrusted with. The day that proclaims Christ crucified and risen – the day that declares victory over sin and death – has been reshaped to make it acceptable to a world that does not know him. The gospel is offensive. Yes. But it is the gospel that Jesus himself preached. It confronts sin. It calls for repentance. It declares that man is not good, and that salvation is found in Christ alone. Yet, instead of standing on that truth with holy conviction, many have chosen to present it in a way that avoids offence and maximises appeal. But the call of God has never been to make the message acceptable – or to entertain the crowds. The Apostle Paul said ,  “I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God” ( Acts 20:27 ). And again, “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort” ( 2 Timothy 4:2 ).  Consider  Daniel . In captivity, and under pressure to conform, he “resolved that he would not defile himself” ( Daniel 1:8 ). He would not bow to the culture. He would not dilute his obedience. He would not trade faithfulness for acceptance. Not even in something as seemingly small as food. When commanded not to pray, he opened his windows and prayed to God as he always had – even at risk of his life ( Daniel 6:10 ). Yet he rose to positions of authority in two empires: without once compromising his faith. God honours those who  honour him  ( 1 Samuel 2:30 ). But today, many in the Church bend where Daniel stood firm.  They soften, they accommodate, they adjust. Not under threat of death. Not under persecution, but under the pressure of culture, attendance, and public acceptance. “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching…” ( 2 Timothy 4:3 ). That time is here. Church Compromise over Biblical Conviction The decline of the Western world is not accidental; it is the fruit of a Church that has too often chosen silence and compromise where God’s word demands truth and boldness. The Great Commission was not about drawing crowds and entertaining them. It was a command: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey  everything  I have commanded you” ( Matthew 28:19–20 ).  That command has not changed. The Church must come back to holiness. Come back to the Word of God. Come back to the fear of the Lord. Come back to the bold, unashamed proclamation of Jesus Christ – crucified for our sin, and raised to life by the power of God. The tragedy is not that the world rejects the truth; it always has. The tragedy is that the Church, more often than not, no longer has the courage to proclaim it as written. It is a fearful thing to handle the Word of God lightly: he will not overlook the dilution of his truth. Those entrusted to preach his word will give an account. Not for how well they were received, but for how faithfully they proclaimed. It is the truth – not the compromise – not the spectacle – that sets men free. Lord, search us, correct us, and bring us back to holiness.

This again is another "hot potato" in the body of Christ, because of extremes on both sides: One says: "A Christian can't have a demon nor demonic influence", while others see demonic deliverance as the answer to all & give to much honour to the devil. Demonic deliverance is not a quick fix, as a replacement for repentance, resist the flesh & the devil & to work out our salvation in fear & trembling. This is quite a detailed study, quite long for a "blog". But I still wanted to post this study for those "Bereans" who want to dig deeper. I not only explains why the Flood of Noah had to happen, but also why there where still giants in the promised land after the flood & why these tribes in Canaan had to annihilated. Which seems very harsh, but was absolutely necessary.

These words might sound a bit confusing or complicated. You might think why do I need to know this? Isn't it enough just to know I am saved as a believer and follower of Christ. Yes surely, but I believe looking deeper into these words will cause you to grow more in love for the Lord & appreciate even more what He has done for us & the riches we have in Christ. I was motivated to also teach this in our church before we partake of Communion. Quite a few years ago now, during our "Sabbatical" year away, I visited many different churches. I was actually horrified how casual and even disrespectfully this was treated. There was no teaching or explanation, just people casually walking up to table in front of the church, during worship & preaching , adults & children. Some even climbing over chairs to get out of their rows. This was not just in one church, but it seemed to be trend in many churches. Sometimes it is good to find out as a pastor to see what is going on in other churches by visiting "incognito". Anyway see the slides below explaining the meaning and dept of these words:

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. ” (2Sam.7:12-13) IF GOD EVER had a favourite it would have to be David yet David was far from perfect. He was born out of wedlock for he said “in sin did my mother conceive me” . When Samuel came to the home of Jesse to anoint one of his sons as King of Israel, David was overlooked and not even called by his father Jesse yet God knew David, even as a child, to have a heart for God and with all his blemishes the grace of God triumphed to establish David’s descendants to perpetually sit on the throne of Israel. What is even more amazing is that one of David’s Descendants would be the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah prophesied that the Son of God whose name is “Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace” would one day rule this world from the Throne of David. And when He did, that throne would be established for ever! (Isa.9:6-7). If anybody had any doubts that Isaiah was prophesying about Jesus Christ they need only turn to the New Testament and read what the angel Gabriel told Mary: “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” (Luke 1:31-33) David’s descendants were not perfect either for many kings that sat on the throne of David were disobedient and were chastened by God. When Zedekiah reigned the nation had come under the judgment of God and the throne of David ceased temporarily. Ezekiel prophesied to Zedekiah: “And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him ” (Ezek.21:25-27). Three times the throne of David was overturned by Nebuchadnezzar and would cease with the throne of Zedekiah in 586BC when Nebuchadnezzar captured Jerusalem but it would be given to another of David’s descendants even our Lord Jesus Christ. The Throne of David is Eternal When God told David that his descendants would reign on his throne, He indicated it was “for ever”. In 2Samuel 7, God promised David an everlasting throne and that there would always be someone of his seed who would be qualified to sit upon the throne. Matthews Gospel begins with “The generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David , the son of Abraham.” (Matt.1:1). Joseph was the legal father of Christ because he married Mary but he was a descendant of David through Solomon. Mary was the mother of our Lord and she descended from David through another son of David; Nathan (Luke3:23-38). For about 1,000 years the two lines never crossed until Messiah was to be born and Jesus was the Son of David biologically and legally. Jesus therefore inherited the right to reign on the throne of David which had been broken down since the days of Zedekiah. In Acts 15 we read that the Apostles met to decide how they would handle Gentiles in the Church and James declared their conclusion that after God had taken “a people for His name from the Gentiles ” (Acts.15:14), Christ would return “and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down ” and will set it up again, after which “the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles , upon whom my name is called:” (Acts 15:17). When God told David that He would give him the throne of Israel we read seven times that David’s throne would be an everlasting throne ; it would be “for ever ” even though some of David’s seed would be disobedient and the throne would temporally lapse, the throne would be resurrected for the Lord Jesus to reign over Israel and the world in His millennial kingdom. The pronouncement by James confirms the Dispensational outline of Scripture: Today God is calling out a people for his name from the Gentiles. This will continue until the Lord returns. When Christ returns He will sit on the throne of David and rule over Israel. And then all the Gentiles will be blessed when Christ reigns. The throne of David spells the doom of Amillennial teaching. The whole concept that God has finished with the nation of Israel and that all the blessings foretold for Israel in the last days must be applied “spiritually” to the church is a pipedream. It is a mere figment of men’s imagination and bears no resemblance to the clear statements of both old and New Testament scripture. God has covenants with Israel that guarantee possession of the land and the restoration of the throne of David when Christ returns. Jesus is the King of Israel and will one day soon reign on David’s throne! The promises of God are not vague or symbolic ideas. They are sure, unbreakable, and anchored in His Word. The throne of David is not a spiritual metaphor but a literal, future reality that will be fulfilled in Jesus Christ when He reigns as King. If this raises questions for you, what exactly is Amillennialism? Why do many hold to it? And does it truly align with the whole counsel of Scripture? We encourage you to examine it carefully.
