Are you also tired of "online Christianity"?

It is completely understandable to feel burned out by online Christianity.

Digital faith often devolves into endless arguments, judgmental posts, and the performance-driven sharing of personal lives, which can leave you feeling drained, isolated, or spiritually cynical.

John 13:34-35 New King James Version

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I don't want to be a hypocrite, as we also have our messages on-line:

And have a church Facebook Page :

I realise that in this day & age it is an essential part of church, to help those who live far away, are not well or can't attend because of work in our changed society.

And of course I am posting things on-line like this one.

But there is not such a thing as On-line church:

Acts 2:42 New King James Version

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The endless scrolling & debating on the various on-line "Christian" media apps etc will wear you out. This digital world is full with self-proclaimed "theologians" & "prophets", who want to be heard.

The Core Reasons Online Can't Replace In-Person Church

  • Lack of Embodied Fellowship: Worship is inherently physical. It relies on shared acoustic experiences (hearing congregational singing), physical sacraments, and spontaneous hallway conversations. Screens deliver information rather than shared community.

  • Disrupted Focus and Distraction: At-home worship competes with daily interruptions, multi-screen habits, and the fatigue of constant video calls. Watching a broadcast on a screen can unintentionally reduce a multi-sensory worship experience into casually "watching YouTube".

  • Convenience Breeds Complacency: Easy digital access can lead to passive viewership, eroding long-term commitment, volunteerism, and active participation in the faith community.

  • Missed Mutual Ministry: The biblical concept of the church relies on members actively supporting and serving one another. In-person presence creates opportunities to exercise spiritual gifts, provide mutual care, and share in communal fellowship.

Another strange phenomena: Zoom "prayer meetings"

I will probably get somebody upset or offended with this, but really this is not my "cup of tea". The word meeting by definition means: being there with the person / people. I get invitations to attend Zoom Prayer Meetings, but I kindly decline. This started during the Covid Plandemic, but we as a church & pastors didn't fall for that, we kept meeting & did not stop meeting in person. Now it seems to be popular trend, but no thanks. The most powerful & effective church was in the first century of the church, in the time they did not have a the fast technology or travel. What do we learn from this?

There are some interesting things online but guard your time & your peace!

I have found out that with most self-proclaimed "Bible-Teachers" online: it is many cases impossible to have a peaceable, Christlike debate. It is exhausting & wearisome.

I don't know about you, but I found there is increase of "know-it-all's" from

-Calvinists

-Preterists

-Cessationists

-Anti-Pre-Tribulation-Rapture "Scholars"

-Israel-Replacement-"Theologians"

-KJV is the only anointed & appointed English Scripture Translation https://www.harvestministriesnz.com/post/what-bible-translation-to-use

-And other similar diabolical doctrines

They are exhausting to debate with, even if you send them the Scriptures & evidence,

they gas-light you by saying: Miracles & the Gifts of Holy Spirit are not for today or John Darby invented the rapture, or if you speak in tongues today it is probably a demonic tongue etc etc

Their "doctrines" are supposedly infallible & can not be challenged.

Or if you refer to teaching from Derek Prince, Chuck Missler or David Jeremiah etc on some of these topics, they say you are following man. No I am not following man, but the Lord has given Bible teachers to the body of Christ who have proven their legitimacy & worth.

Talking about gas lighting, I have studied these topics now for over 40 years & they still tell you you haven't studied the text properly. Anyway I am done with this kind of online interaction, unless it is giving an encouragement to somebody who is talking sense, otherwise it is an absolute waste of time & it will rob your peace.

2 Corinthians 11:28-29 New King James Version

besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?
