PART 1: 1–25   Jesus said when these things begin to happen, look up. When they all begin converging, know the time is near (Matthew 24:33–34). These prophecies were written 1,900–3,500 years ago. Yet for the first time in history, every single trend is in place simultaneously. God said: “I declare the end from the beginning.” - Isaiah 46:10 “Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” - Isaiah 42:9 “I tell you before it comes, that when it comes to pass, you may believe.” - John 13:19   Here are the first 25. 1 -False teachers would infiltrate the church, introduce destructive heresies, and misrepresent Scripture - causing many to reject truth (2 Peter 2:1–2). 2 -These teachers would be motivated by greed and smooth speech (2 Peter 2:3). 3 -The gospel would be preached to all nations before the end (Matthew 24:14; Mark 13:10; Revelation 14:6). Today over 90% of the world has access to Scripture. 4 -The whole world would be able to witness global events simultaneously (Revelation 11:9–10). That was impossible until satellites and digital media. 5 -Humanity would gain the capacity to destroy all life (Matthew 24:21–22). Nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons now make this possible. 6 -Zechariah described a judgment where flesh dissolves while standing (Zechariah 14:12). Written 2,500 years before nuclear technology. 7 -There would be a global cry for peace and safety (1 Thessalonians 5:3). 8 -A coming world ruler would use peace to destroy many (Daniel 8:23–25). 9 -Israel would have a covenant that the coming ruler confirms and then breaks (Daniel 9:27). 10 -Damascus would become a ruinous heap (Isaiah 17; Jeremiah 49:23–27; Amos 1:3–5; Zechariah 9:1–8). 11 -Chaotic weather and increasing birth pangs would intensify (Luke 21:25–26; Matthew 24:8). The Greek word ὠδίν (ōdin) means labor pains — increasing in frequency and intensity. 12 -A revived form of the Roman system would move toward global dominance (Daniel 2; 7; Revelation 13). 13 -Babylon would re-emerge in the land of Shinar (Zechariah 5:11; Isaiah 13). 14 -The flood of Noah would be denied in the last days (2 Peter 3:5–6). 15 -Doctrines forbidding certain foods would rise (1 Timothy 4:3–4). 16 -Wars would multiply (Mark 13:7–8). 17 -Ethnos against ethnos — ethnic conflict worldwide (Mark 13:8). 18 -The earth would be filled with violence as in the days of Noah (Luke 17:26; Genesis 6:11–13). 19 -Fearful sights and terror (Greek: phobetron) would increase (Luke 21:11). 20 -People would run to and fro (Daniel 12:4). Mass global travel is normal today. 21 -Knowledge would increase exponentially (Daniel 12:4). 22 -Pestilences — deadly diseases — would spread (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:8). 23 -A generation would accept a mark on the right hand or forehead for commerce (Revelation 13:16). 24 -A global economic system would exist (Revelation 13:16–17). 25 -One man would ultimately control buying and selling (Revelation 13:16–18). These are not vague predictions. They are precise. And they are converging. The issue is not whether prophecy is unfolding. The issue is whether people are paying attention. Part 2- 26–51 You don’t have to force the text to see the pattern. Just read it. Then look at the world. Scripture said certain conditions would define the last days..   26 . Famines would increase Gospel of Luke 21:11 Book of Revelation 6:5–8 Jesus warned of famines. Revelation describes scarcity so severe that basic food becomes a luxury. In 2025, 750 million people faced hunger globally. Billions cannot afford a healthy diet. The scale is staggering. This is not medieval history. This is now. 27 . Great signs from heaven Luke 21:11, 26 Christ said there would be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. The modern era has seen an explosion of unexplained aerial phenomena reports since 1947. Add increasing asteroid tracking, solar disturbances, and celestial alignments that capture global attention. Whether natural or deceptive, fear tied to the heavens is rising. 28 . The sun would scorch the earth Revelation 16:8–9 This is ultimately divine judgment. But we are already watching record heat waves, atmospheric instability, and solar cycle intensification. Revelation describes a future moment when men are scorched and still refuse to repent. The groundwork of vulnerability is visible. 29 . Israel reborn in one day Book of Isaiah 66:8 May 14, 1948. A nation reborn. Nearly 1,900 years after dispersion. The “fig tree” budded again. No parallel in human history. 30 . Jewish regathering from the nations Isaiah 11:11–12 Book of Ezekiel 37; 38:8 Millions have returned. From Europe. From the Middle East. From Africa. From the Americas. A people scattered globally, brought back to one land exactly as foretold. 31 . From north, south, east, and west Isaiah 43:5–6 Book of Jeremiah 31:7–10 Nearly a million from Russia (north). Over 100,000 from Ethiopia (south). From east and west as well. Specific directions. Specific fulfillment. 32 . The land would lie desolate during dispersion Deuteronomy 29 Ezekiel 36 For centuries the land was barren and underdeveloped. Travelers documented malaria swamps and wasteland conditions. The land rested while the people were scattered. 33 . The desert would bloom again Isaiah 35 Ezekiel 36 Modern irrigation. Agricultural exports. Flower production. Fruit shipped worldwide. A land once dry now flourishing. 34 . Israel would prosper economically Ezekiel 38:12–13 A tiny nation exporting tens of billions annually. Innovation in tech, defense, medicine, agriculture. Wealth in a land once called desolate. 35 . Vineyards planted again Book of Amos 9:13–15 Wine flowing again from the hills of Israel. Ancient prophecy, modern bottles. 36 . Massive reforestation Isaiah 41:18–20 Over a billion trees planted since 1900. Cedar. Cypress. Pine. The land physically transformed. 37 . Hebrew revived Zephaniah 3:9 A dead spoken language restored. Modern Hebrew revived in the late 19th century and made official in 1948. A linguistic resurrection. 38 . Jerusalem trampled until Gentile times fulfilled Luke 21:24 From 70 AD until 1967. Nearly two millennia. Then during the Six-Day War, Jewish control restored over Jerusalem. 40 . The Eastern Gate sealed Golden Gate Ezekiel 44:1–3 says it remains shut until Messiah enters. The gate has been sealed for centuries. 47 . Israel unified again Ezekiel 37:15–22 Once divided north and south. Now one nation again. 48 . No king until Messiah Hosea 3:4–5 For over 2,500 years, no Davidic king. Modern democratic state. Awaiting the rightful King. 49 . A rebuilt temple anticipated Daniel 9:27 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Revelation 11 Multiple New Testament writers reference a future temple. Preparations in Israel are openly discussed and advanced. 50 . Sacrifices restored then stopped Daniel 9:27 For sacrifices to be stopped, they must first resume. The infrastructure for this is already being prepared. 51 . The red heifer requirement Book of Numbers 19 Without a red heifer, temple purification cannot proceed. In 2022, red heifers were brought to Israel for evaluation. That alone would have sounded impossible 50 years ago. You can dismiss it.  You can debate timing.   But you cannot honestly say nothing is aligning. Prophecy is not vague poetry. It is a pattern unfolding in real geography, real politics, real nations. And we are watching it happen.       PART 3: 52–76   We are not guessing. We are watching Scripture unfold in real time. The same Bible that foretold the first coming of Christ with precision also details the conditions surrounding His return. Here are prophecies 52 through 76, and why they matter now.   52 . ISRAEL’S TEMPORARY BLINDNESS Jesus wept over Jerusalem in Gospel of Luke 19:41-42 and said they did not recognize the time of their visitation. Paul later wrote in Epistle to the Romans 11:25-26 that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. National blindness. Temporary. Not permanent. The veil lifts at the end. 53 . PETRA AS A PLACE OF REFUGE Isaiah 16:1–4, Matthew 24:16, and Revelation 12:6,14 point to a wilderness refuge. Many identify this with ancient Sela - modern Petra in Jordan. Petra exists. It is accessible. And since the 1994 Israel–Jordan peace treaty, it stands as a plausible sanctuary location during the Tribulation. The rock city is real. 54–57 . THE NORTHERN CONFEDERATION Ezekiel 38 names Magog, Persia, Cush, Put, Gomer, and Togarmah. Magog is widely identified with Russia. Persia is modern Iran. Cush and Put point toward Sudan and Libya. Gomer and Togarmah are often associated with Turkey and regions of Asia Minor. Book of Ezekiel 38 describes a massive northern invasion of Israel in the latter days. Russia is a military superpower. Iran is openly hostile to Israel. Turkey has shifted increasingly toward Islamic nationalism. These alignments would have sounded impossible centuries ago. Today they are normal headlines. 58 . EGYPT AND JORDAN NOT LISTED Interestingly, Egypt and Jordan are not named among the invaders in Ezekiel 38. Egypt signed peace with Israel in 1979. Jordan in 1994. The absence is notable. 59 . BIRDS OF PREY FEAST Ezekiel 39:4,17 and Revelation 19:17–21 describe birds devouring the fallen armies. Israel sits on one of the largest migratory bird routes in the world. Billions of birds pass over that land annually. Dozens of species are carrion eaters. The geography matches the prophecy. 60 . THE EUPHRATES DRIED UP Revelation 16:12 says the Euphrates will be dried to prepare the way for the kings of the east. Turkey’s Atatürk Dam has already demonstrated the river can be reduced dramatically. Two thousand years ago that would have sounded impossible. 61–62 . A 200 MILLION MAN ARMY Revelation 9:16 gives a number: 200 million. When John wrote that, the world population was estimated between 170–400 million total. Today, Asian powers alone could field armies in those numbers. Population explosion makes this prophecy realistic. The scale of humanity now matches the scale of Revelation. 63 . THE NATIONS BUD In Gospel of Luke 21:29–32, Jesus speaks of the fig tree and “all the trees” budding. Since 1945, dozens of new nations have formed as colonial empires dissolved. The modern world map exploded with sovereign states in one generation. The budding is visible. 64 . EGYPT A LOWLY KINGDOM Book of Ezekiel 29:14–16 says Egypt would remain but never again dominate the nations. Egypt still exists. Yet it is no longer an empire. It is not a world ruler. Prophecy preserved both its survival and its limitation. 65 . GREAT EARTHQUAKES Luke 21:11 and Revelation 16 describe unprecedented seismic events. Modern data shows increasing reporting and impact of major earthquakes worldwide. The earth itself groans. 66 . FORBIDDING MARRIAGE 1 Timothy 4:3 warned some would forbid marriage. Certain religious systems enforce celibacy. Scripture calls marriage honorable in Hebrews 13:4. Departure from biblical balance was predicted. 67 . DECEPTIVE SIGNS AND WONDERS Jesus warned in Matthew 24:24 of false signs so persuasive they would deceive many. Experience-driven spirituality is replacing doctrinal clarity in much of the visible church. Sensation over Scripture. The warning was clear. 68–70 . MORAL AND CULTURAL DECAY 2 Timothy 3 describes lovers of self, lovers of pleasure, materialism, rebellion, arrogance. Look around. Self-exaltation is normal. Entertainment dominates. Youth rebellion is celebrated. Wealth obsession is global. Paul described our headlines before they existed. 71 . CHRISTIANS HATED Jesus said in Luke 21:17 believers would be hated for His name’s sake. Persecution globally is at historic levels. In many regions, faith in Christ carries legal and social consequences. Hatred of biblical Christianity is not fading. It is intensifying. 72 . LIKE THE DAYS OF LOT Luke 17 compares the last days to Sodom. Pride. Sexual immorality. Open celebration of sin. Genesis 19 and Jude 7 describe what made Sodom infamous. The parallel is sobering. 73 . MASSIVE WEALTH AND LUXURY James 5 and Revelation 18 describe enormous wealth at the end of the age. Despite constant resource panic predictions, the modern world has produced unprecedented abundance and luxury. The end-times world is not primitive. It is prosperous. 74 . DEMONIC ACTIVITY 1 Timothy 4:1 warns of doctrines of demons. Modern fascination with UFO phenomena, alien encounters, and supernatural experiences has exploded. Many accounts mirror biblical descriptions of deceptive spirits more than extraterrestrial travelers. Spiritual deception will increase. 75 . APOSTASY BEFORE THE ANTICHRIST 2 Thessalonians 2:3 says a falling away comes before the man of sin is revealed. Doctrinal compromise. Unity without truth. Redefining the gospel. The drift is visible. 76 . ONE-WORLD RELIGION Revelation 17 describes a global religious system aligned with political power. Interfaith unity movements are expanding worldwide under banners of tolerance and peace. Globalism is no longer theory. It is policy.   This is not fear. This is pattern recognition. Prophecy is not written to scare believers. It is written to anchor them. The same Bible that predicted Israel’s rebirth predicted these final conditions. Watch the alignment. Strengthen your faith. The King is coming.   Part 4: 77–100   We are not drifting toward chaos. We are watching Scripture unfold exactly as written. Here are prophecies 77–100 and every one of them speaks directly to this generation:   77 . Mockers would rise in the last days saying, “All things continue as they were” (2 Peter 3:3–4). 78 . Peter even exposes their motive, they walk after their own lusts. 79 . Deception would be accompanied by signs and wonders (Matthew 24:23–27). 80 . Jesus warned that supernatural manifestations would not automatically mean truth. 81 . A global religious system symbolized as a woman, calling herself a queen, connected to a great city on seven hills, would dominate and deceive before judgment falls (Revelation 17–18; Zechariah 5). Scripture portrays her as spiritually unfaithful and intoxicated with influence over the nations. 82 . Sorcery would mark the last days (Revelation 9:21; 18:23). The Greek word φαρμακεία (pharmakeia) includes drug use and occult enchantment. Substance abuse and occult fascination have exploded worldwide. 83 . Global war preparation (Joel 3:9–14; Revelation 16:14). Never has humanity possessed the capability to destroy itself on a planetary scale. 84 . Environmental devastation (Revelation 11:18). Humanity would corrupt the earth. 85 . Signs in the sun (Luke 21:25). Celestial disturbances accompany end-time events. 86 . Many would claim to be Christ (Matthew 24:5). False messiahs and self-proclaimed enlightened figures multiply. 87 . God’s name would be great among the nations (Malachi 1:11; Philippians 2:9–11). The name of Jesus is proclaimed globally. 89 . Christ’s words would endure (Luke 21:33). The Bible remains the most distributed book in history. 90 . Many would be spiritually unprepared (Luke 21:34–36; 1 Thessalonians 5:2–6). 91 . The catching away of believers (1 Thessalonians 4:15–17; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52). 92 .Scripture says a strong delusion will follow (2 Thessalonians 2:9–12). 93 .A vast multitude saved during the Tribulation (Revelation 7:9–17). 94 . Salvation spreading through the Middle East (Isaiah 19:16–25; Romans 10:13). 95 . Apostasy 96 . and rejection of sound doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 4:3–4). 97 . Lawlessness, idolatry, 98 . blasphemy, 99 . and sexual immorality escalating (Matthew 24:12; Revelation 9:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:2; Jude 18). 100 . Consciences seared (1 Timothy 4:2). Sin without conviction. These are not random headlines. They are converging patterns. Some signs have existed for centuries. But never in history have all categories aligned simultaneously on a global scale the way they are now. Jesus said two reactions would dominate: Some would faint with fear (Luke 21:26). Others would look up with expectation (Luke 21:28). Which one are you? Here is the uncomfortable truth. God will judge sin. Not vaguely. Personally. Have you lied? Blasphemed? Stolen? Lusted? Broken even one commandment  (Exodus 20)? By God’s standard, that makes us guilty. And God sees every hidden thought. But here is the good news. God is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16). “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life…” (Romans 6:23). Jesus lived without sin. He died in our place. He rose again. Whoever repents and calls on His name will be saved. The signs are not meant to terrify the redeemed. They are meant to awaken the sleeping. This is not about speculation. It is about preparation. Look up. Your redemption draws near.

Despite experiencing several wars over the last year as well as heavy religious persecution and ostracization from the Islamist regime, insiders say that the small community of Christians within Iran is growing against all odds. In 2020, a  rare survey  of the Iranian people was conducted by the Group for Analysing and Measuring Attitudes in IRAN (GAMAAN). They noted that since Iranians “live with an ever-present fear of retribution for speaking against the state,” researchers “cannot simply call people or knock on doors seeking answers to politically sensitive questions. That’s why the anonymity of digital surveys offers an opportunity to capture what Iranians really think about religion.” GAMAAN noted that despite the fact that the regime’s census claims that 99.5% of the population is Muslim, their survey revealed a far different reality. Only 32.2% said they are Shi’ite Muslim, the official state religion imposed on the country by the Islamist regime. The survey further found that secularization has made strong inroads in the population, with 22.2% saying they have no religion, 8.8% saying they are atheist, and 5.8% saying they are agnostic. An additional revealing statistic from the survey is that 1.5% reported that they are Christian, which would amount to over 1.3 million people in a nation of 92 million. Iran’s mullahs officially recognize small numbers of ethnic Armenian and Assyrian Christians, with most analysts estimating that there are less than 200,000 present in the country. But converting to Christianity from Islam is  considered apostasy  and is strictly forbidden. Muslim converts to Christianity often face imprisonment and torture, and in some cases execution. In addition, underground house churches are heavily persecuted, and Christians are frequently arrested arbitrarily and are banned from sharing the faith. Despite this, Christianity in Iran has grown significantly since the ayatollahs took power after the Islamic Revolution in 1979, when there were only a few hundred believers. Groups such as Elam Ministries and Transform Iran estimate that there are now up to three million Christians in the country. There is a church in Iran, and it’s a beautiful church,”  remarked  Elam Ministries Executive Director David Yeghnazar during “Washington Watch” last week. “It’s a church that over the last 47 years has grown rapidly. … [W]e don’t know the exact numbers, but what we do know is that there has been very rapid growth. … [I]t’s a church that has been persecuted, it has suffered, and it has shown itself to be resilient.” Yeghnazar went on to highlight how recent wars and persecutions have only galvanized Christians in Iran to share their faith more boldly. The Iranian church has suffered a lot in the last year,” he noted. “In June 2025, there was the 12-Day War with Iran and Israel. [T]here’s [also] been severe economic pressure. And then early in 2026, before the war broke out, some of the darkest days in Iran’s history [occurred] when tens of thousands of Iranians were killed by the regime as they violently suppressed the protests, [and] many others were arrested or incarcerated. So there has been national trauma in Iran. And yet in the midst of that, the church has continued to be a witness. They are comforting those who are suffering. They’re sharing Jesus Christ. In fact, one of the people told me that when people find out that you are Christians in these days, they are so encouraged. They say, ‘Oh, you’re not a Muslim. Please, will you tell me about Jesus? Thank God we met you.’ And so many people want to hear about Jesus.” Yeghnazar further detailed how many Iranians who have “longed for freedom” found “hope” as a result of the ongoing U.S. strikes on Iran’s leadership and military that began on February 28. “[N]obody likes war, but the reality is on the ground right now [that] the church, I believe, is continuing to shine.” Yeghnazar related the recent story of a new believer. “He contacted his pastor and said, ‘I want to give my tithe to those who are suffering.’ … So he actually ended up sending his little bit of money to a family in a city called Kerman [in] another part of the country. Separately, a house church felt led by the Lord to do an evangelistic trip to Kerman. They ended up in that same home. And when they got to the house, [they] recognized how deeply God had led them there. And so what that shows in this time [is that] the church in Iran is in the midst of war, ready to witness, ready to take risks, ready to share Jesus Christ with people in the nation. [P]eople are worried [about] what’s going to happen, but they’re still witnessing for the Lord in the country.” Yeghnazar concluded by urging believers to pray for the church in Iran. “It’s important for people to pray for what comes next, [to] pray for righteousness [and] for a just country. But we must pray for the church [and] for Christians who are witnessing. Pray for Christians who are comforting people and pray especially for the persecuted, because we don’t know what’s happened to the persecuted at this time. Some are in prison. We haven’t heard from them. Their families haven’t heard from them. So it’s really important to pray for the church and especially the persecuted right now.”

LAST SUPPER BILLBOARD APPEARS IN IRAN: A large highway billboard featuring The Last Supper has appeared in Iran. The billboard shows Jesus and His disciples seated at the table, with Persian text beside the image. The text translates roughly to: “The promised Messiah is coming.” In Islamic belief, Jesus (Isa) is considered the Messiah and Muslims also believe He will return before the Day of Judgment. Is this the fulfilment of ? Jeremiah 49:38 New King James Version I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord. Unexpected Opening For Gospel Outreach: Underground Church Thrives In Iran Amid War Despite the devastation and uncertainty brought by the ongoing conflict in Iran, a remarkable spiritual movement is quietly accelerating beneath the surface. Christian leaders report that the nation’s underground Church is not only enduring—but growing stronger—amid the chaos. Todd Nettleton of Voice of the Martyrs USA (VOM) told The Christian Post that the war has unintentionally created new openings for Gospel outreach. With government authorities focused on military operations and internal stability, enforcement against house churches has lessened in some areas. “The Lord works in mysterious ways,” Nettleton explained, noting that believers are finding increased opportunities to meet, evangelize, and distribute Scripture. VOM, which partners with underground church networks across Iran, has continued its mission despite logistical challenges. According to Nettleton, several thousand Bibles have been distributed since the conflict began earlier this year—fueling a growing hunger for God’s Word among Iranians searching for hope. One underground fellowship, forced to flee its city due to nearby attacks, chose to remain together rather than scatter. What began as displacement turned into revival. “They turned it into a church camp,” Nettleton said, describing a season of worship, teaching, and deep spiritual strengthening among the group. Field reports indicate that many believers are boldly sharing their faith during this time of crisis. With death and uncertainty surrounding them, Iranians are increasingly asking eternal questions—opening doors for one-on-one Gospel conversations in homes and cafés, even amid communication blackouts. According to Open Doors, Iran ranks among the most dangerous countries in the world for Christians, with converts from Islam facing imprisonment, interrogation, and social rejection. Yet, paradoxically, the Church continues to grow rapidly. Recent estimates suggest that Iran is home to one of the fastest-growing Christian populations in the world. Over the past 25 years, the number of believers has surged from a few hundred thousand to over 1 million, with some ministry estimates placing the broader movement—including seekers and underground participants—at several million. This extraordinary growth has occurred almost entirely through house churches and personal evangelism. Even more striking is the attitude of believers on the ground. Nettleton said no Christian connected with VOM has asked to flee the country. Instead, many view this moment as divinely appointed. “This is a turning point; this is a spiritual turning point for Iran,” believers told him. “We want to be here… to see the harvest.” Christian leaders are now calling on the global Church to pray for protection, provision, and boldness. As shortages, economic strain, and instability increase, so too does the urgency of the Gospel message. Reports claim that tens of thousands of mosques have closed across Iran as millions leave Islam and turn toward Jesus. Human Khalil, an Iranian-born believer, says widespread unrest, government oppression, and especially the harsh treatment of women have caused many Iranians to reject Islam entirely. He believes a massive underground church movement is growing rapidly, with an estimated 10 million hidden Christians throughout the country. Many Iranians report encountering Jesus through dreams and visions, leading to a rise in conversions despite the serious dangers involved — leaving Islam in Iran can bring severe punishment. Khalil and his family came to faith through the kindness and prayers of a local church after fleeing Iran. He urges Christians worldwide to pray for the underground church and support ministries helping persecuted believers escape danger and share the Gospel.

Social Media Echo Chambers: Social media algorithms often reinforce existing biases, creating echo chambers where individuals are only exposed to information that confirms their pre-existing beliefs. C. Political Polarization: Increased political polarization creates an "us vs. them" mentality, making it difficult to engage in reasoned discourse and consider alternative perspectives. D. Erosion of Trust: Erosion of trust in traditional institutions, like the TV news stations and Politically and monetarily manipulated Newspapers, makes individuals more likely to seek information from unreliable sources. 4. Combating Stupidity: A Call to Action Bonhoeffer believed that overcoming stupidity requires a conscious effort to engage in critical thinking, seek diverse perspectives, and challenge authority. This requires: A. Promoting Critical Thinking: Strengthening education systems to emphasize critical thinking, media literacy, and source evaluation.” B. Encouraging Civil Discourse: *”Fostering environments where individuals can engage in respectful dialogue and consider alternative viewpoints.” C. Supporting Independent Media: Supporting independent media outlets that provide diverse perspectives and hold power accountable. D. Cultivating Intellectual Humility: Recognizing the limitations of our own knowledge and being open to challenging our own biases. Much too often people are not willing to accept that they might have been wrong about their choices, especially in the political arena. Much too often people being confronted with the poor selection of choices become combative instead of Repetitive over their past decisions. 5. I think it was around 1988-89 when I returned to my home church for a visit / furlough. This was the church (Full Gospel / Pentecostal) that send me out & blessed me to go work as a missionary in Eastern Europe & Soviet Union. To my shock & horror this church was divided; there was division over a new "blessing" that was introduced into the church world & was spreading worldwide like a virus. It was tragic, this church had send out quite a few other young people like me, I think around 10, was open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit (but not extreme, quite balanced) & last but not least had regular Biblical teaching on end-time doctrine & Israel. But there were quite some heated arguments, people left, people were hurt & confused. And the ones who claimed to have gotten "it" (The Holy Spirit is a person not an it) were changed in a way that I didn't recognise them. They were pushy, overbearing & mocking Christians that didn't go along or had doubts & questions. Some even mocked those who didn't go along as being baptised in lemon juice. This so-called "Toronto Blessing" might have started sincere seeking God's presence & renewal but the fruit was ugly & the manifestations un-biblical. Those involved often claimed: "But I felt something" or "It felt good" or "I was touched". That can be combined with a Biblical experience but it is not proof in itself that is from God. This example is not an isolated incident but similar things happened worldwide & there is no good lasting fruit. Even though Toronto Airport Church eventually closed it's doors, unfortunately I have observed that the same teachings & manifestations pop up over the years, under different names, movements & so-called "revivals" (Revivals starts with repentance, not with strange un-Biblical teachings & manifestations) The only people in the Bible that fell backwards where the people who came to arrest Jesus. There are many teachings, practices & supernatural manifestations that have been introduced over the last years, but the Word of God / The Scriptures are the final authority in testing manifestations, healings and doctrine: If something can't be backed up from the Bible in the right context, it is not an acceptable doctrine, manifestation, prayer or practice. Some of those teachings & practices are: Prosperity "Gospel", Praying in a commanding or directing way to the Holy Spirit, Falling or "Slain" in the Spirit, Fire tunnels, Sozo (or so called "healing" rooms), they might sound spiritual, but have no sound Doctrinal Biblical support. This does not mean we don't believe in the supernatural, signs wonders & miracles, but they need to backed by the Scriptures & we need to test the spirits 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Before I was called to mission work to the former Soviet Union & the Eastern European countries behind the "Iron Curtain" I grew up in Holland or better said; the Netherlands. Everybody immediately thinks of the stereotype "cute" & not so nice things about this country below sea-level. But what is lesser known that it also has a very strong history of extreme "ingrained" Calvinism, especially in the rural towns & among the farming & fishing communities. Amsterdam in that regards is not good representation of the country as a whole. The reason I am starting with this introduction is that I grew up with experiencing & observing the "fruit" of Calvinism. You not only need to look at the theological aspect which I will come to soon, but study the life & actions of John Calvin himself & observe the fruit of this teaching in the life of the church & believers. Well it's not pretty & I will spare you the details. When I as a young man found Christ & surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord & Saviour, it became even more clear to me it is a false teaching. Besides observing the "fruit" I also did my "homework" and the more I delved into this matter the more disgusted I became with this abhorrent "doctrine" I not only concluded that it is a false teaching, but it is doctrine of demons: Calvinism is from the pit of hell. Calvinism" & the so called "TULIP" has some Biblical truths, but like most false doctrines & religions they are "sandwiched" with some truth. But don't forget that most poisons consists largely of water. It is commonly summarized by the acronym TULIP: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints. Many godly men hold this position. But after careful study of Scripture in context, we do not. Let’s walk through why. First, Total Depravity. We agree that humanity is fallen. Romans 3 makes that clear. Ephesians 2 says we are dead in trespasses and sins. Sin affects every part of man. But Scripture never says man is unable to respond to God when confronted with truth. In Acts 17:30 God commands all men everywhere to repent. A just God does not command what is metaphysically impossible. Dead in Scripture often means separated, not incapable. The prodigal son in Luke 15 was called dead, yet he still returned. Second, Unconditional Election. Calvinism teaches that God chooses specific individuals for salvation without regard to foreseen faith. We believe Scripture teaches election, but election is consistently described as “in Christ.” Ephesians 1:4 says we are chosen in Him. The sphere of election is Christ, not an arbitrary pre-temporal selection of individuals apart from response. Romans 8:29 says those whom He foreknew, He predestined. The Greek word proginosko carries the idea of relational foreknowledge. God knows beforehand who will believe. That does not diminish His sovereignty. It reflects His omniscience. Third, Limited Atonement. Calvinism teaches Christ died only for the elect. Scripture repeatedly states Christ died for the world. John 3:16 says God so loved the world. First John 2:2 says He is the propitiation not for our sins only, but also for the sins of the whole world. First Timothy 2:4 says God desires all men to be saved. If Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient only for a predetermined few, those verses must be redefined. We do not redefine them. The atonement is sufficient for all, efficient for those who believe. Fourth, Irresistible Grace. Calvinism teaches that when God internally calls someone, they cannot ultimately resist. Yet Acts 7:51 says, “You always resist the Holy Spirit.” Jesus wept over Jerusalem in Matthew 23:37 and said, “I would have gathered you, but you were not willing.” Grace can be resisted. Love that cannot be refused is not love in any meaningful relational sense. Fifth, Perseverance of the Saints. We believe in eternal security for those truly saved. John 10:28 is clear. But perseverance is the result of abiding in Christ, not evidence of preselection. Salvation is secure because of Christ’s finished work, not because someone was unconditionally elected before birth. Now here is the deeper issue. Conclusion: Calvinism, when pressed logically, makes God the ultimate determiner of who will be saved and who will be condemned before they ever exist. Yet Scripture consistently presents God as just, not arbitrary. Second Peter 3:9 says the Lord is not willing that any should perish. That is not theatrical language. That is God’s revealed heart. We affirm God’s sovereignty. We affirm human responsibility.

We are watching a cultural shift that many leaders won’t name and many believers don’t yet see. But silence won’t stop it. And fear won’t fix it. There is a deeper story behind the unrest, the confusion, and the hostility toward Biblical truth. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Everyone knows by now that our government, with the "help" of the LNP, passed new hate speech laws in Parliament on January 20th. The same people who can’t define a woman. The same people who locked you in your house. The same people who continue to print money into inflation hell. Now they demand the power to decide what you’re allowed to say. And here’s the part everyone is conveniently ignoring… At the time this post was published, the Governor General had NOT given Royal Assent. That means it’s not law yet! (UPDATE: it has been signed and given royal assent; it is officially law.) The Rush to Censor So why the rush? Why the media victory lap? Why are people already censoring themselves? Because fear works. If you had a brain cell, you would look back at the past five years, and you’ll be able to join the dots. They don’t need to silence you if you silence yourself. And here’s the brutal truth most people don’t want to hear… No government can conquer a strong, disciplined, self-led person. They can only conquer weak men and women. Distracted men. Some of us already saw this coming… it’s a FAMILIAR pattern! In conclusion, we must remain vigilant. The fight for free speech is not just about words; it’s about our very freedom. Enough with sermons crafted to be consumed instead of words that cut to the heart. Enough with pulpits that have become stages and preachers who have become performers. Where are the preachers who eat locusts and honey? Where are the ones who have been stripped by obscurity, who learned to hear God without a microphone, who were forged in prayer before they were ever trusted with a platform? The fear of the Lord has been traded for relevance, and holiness has been exchanged for popularity. And hear me friends, the Spirit of God is not impressed with our conferences, our branding, or our followings. God is not endorsing our man made structures in this hour, He is raising up men and women that are unknown, uncelebrated, yet dripping with the oil of heaven. God is dismantling pulpits He never built and exposing ministries He never commissioned. He is silencing voices that He never anointed and He is drying up wells that were fed by self promotion instead of sacrifice. God is withdrawing His breath from what He never authored. Stages will go dark. Platforms will shake. Titles will mean nothing when weighed in the balance of eternity. And in its place, the Lord is releasing wilderness voices. Unpolished. Unapologetic. Uncontrollable. Voices formed in obscurity, refined by fire, and loyal only to truth. These voices will not ask for permission. They will not bow to culture. They will not negotiate the Gospel. John the Baptist did not have a platform, he had a cry. He did not flatter kings, he confronted sin. He did not build a brand, he prepared the way of the Lord. And just like in the days of John, the wilderness voices of today will not sound smooth, they will sound dangerous. They won’t preach for affirmation, they will preach for transformation. They won’t build movements around themselves, they will point relentlessly to Jesus and say, “He must increase, and I must decrease.” The next move of God will not be flashy, it will be holy. It will not be marketed, it will be marked. It will come through preachers who smell like prayer, sound like thunder, and carry a message that costs them everything. Scripture itself repeatedly references this region under its ancient names—Persia and Elam—placing it squarely within God’s prophetic timeline. Iran has been part of the biblical narrative from the beginning of Israel’s exile to the birth of the Church. It has not disappeared from prophecy concerning the last days. Iran in the Old Testament In the Old Testament, Iran first appears as Elam. This region lies east of Babylon, west of Persia proper, and south of Media. The prophet Jeremiah pronounced judgment on Elam, foretelling both its destruction and its eventual restoration: “I will break the bow of Elam… Yet it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam.” (Jeremiah 49:35, 39) This prophecy unfolded with remarkable precision. Babylon conquered Elam in 596 BC, but Elam did not vanish. Instead, its people were absorbed into the rising Medo-Persian Empire, which went on to overthrow Babylon in 539 BC—exactly as Isaiah foretold: “Go up, O Elam! Lay siege, O Media!” (Isaiah 21:2) The Role of Daniel This transition happened during Daniel’s lifetime. He personally witnessed the fall of Babylon (Daniel 5) and later recorded visions while living in the province of Elam (Daniel 8:2). Persia was not merely a background nation—it became the stage on which God worked powerfully for His people. Under Persian rule, Israel was allowed to return home, rebuild the Temple, and restore Jerusalem. The books of Esther and Nehemiah are entirely set within Persia’s royal courts. Persia’s dominance eventually gave way to Greece under Alexander the Great, fulfilling Daniel’s prophetic vision of the ram and the goat in Daniel 8. From that point forward, Persia passed through many hands—Seleucid, Parthian, Sassanian, Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic—until the modern nation of Iran formally emerged in AD 1501. Yet throughout these shifts, the region never left God’s prophetic map. Iran's Presence in the New Testament The New Testament quietly confirms Persia’s continued relevance. On the Day of Pentecost, Luke records that “Parthians, Medes, and Elamites” were present in Jerusalem (Acts 2:9). These were Jews from what is now Iran—devout worshipers who witnessed the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and carried the gospel back east. Iran was present at the very birth of the Church. End-Time Prophecy and Iran But the most sobering references appear in end-time prophecy. In Ezekiel 38–39, Persia is named explicitly as part of a future military alliance led by Gog of Magog. This coalition includes nations corresponding to modern Russia, Turkey, Sudan, and Libya, and it will move against Israel at a time when Israel is described as dwelling securely and unsuspecting. “Persia, Cush, and Put are with them… all of them with shield and helmet.” (Ezekiel 38:5) This invasion will not succeed. God Himself intervenes, not through diplomacy or military alliances, but through supernatural judgment. The invading armies are destroyed on the mountains of Israel, not to glorify Israel’s strength, but to reveal God’s holiness to the nations: “I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” (Ezekiel 38:23) Iran’s modern hostility toward Israel is not the cause of this prophecy—it is a confirmation that the players are aligning exactly where Scripture said they would be. Yet the focus of the prophecy is not fear, war, or politics. The focus is God’s sovereignty. “I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel… and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.” (Ezekiel 39:7) Understanding Current Events Bible prophecy does not exist to make us anxious. It exists to remind us that history is not random, God is not reacting, and the future is already written by the One who declares the end from the beginning. Persia — the empire that liberated the Jews from Babylonian exile (Cyrus) and allowed the temple to be rebuilt. Parthians/Medes — peoples mentioned at Pentecost as being present when the Church was born (Acts 2:9). God’s Word shows Iran’s land and peoples repeatedly in Scripture—not as an accident, but as part of God’s unfolding plan: judgment, exile, restoration, and covenant fulfillment. Why This Matters in Prophecy Several Bible passages are often connected to nations in this region: Jeremiah 49:34–39 — God prophesies against Elam (ancient Iran) and promises restoration in the last days. Daniel 8 — Persia is symbolized in visions about kingdoms rising and falling, as part of God’s sovereign control over history. Ezekiel 38–39 — A future coalition including Persia comes against Israel; God supernaturally defeats them. Acts 2:9 — The presence of Medes, Elamites, and Parthians at Pentecost reminds us God is already moving among these nations spiritually. What Does Prophecy Really Say? God intends prophecy to inform our hope, not fuel fear. Scripture shows conflict and restoration. Elam/Persia is both judged and promised blessing—God’s arc is toward redemption. Ezekiel 38–39’s war comes after Israel is at peace and secure—not necessarily the same war the world headlines today. A Christian Response to Today’s Tensions Believers should not panic—but pray with wisdom and urgency: Pray for peace, not war (1 Tim. 2:1–2). Pray for Iranian citizens suffering under repression and economic hardship. Pray for diplomatic wisdom that honors life. Pray for Israel, America, and all nations caught in this storm. Remember: God is sovereign over kingdoms, presidents, and empires. Persia freed God’s people once—God is not done with the peoples of that ancient land. Conclusion Iran appears in Bible history more than you realized. Prophecy involves Iran—but not in the simplistic, fear-driven “headline fulfillment” way. Today’s tensions are serious—but God’s purposes go beyond a single conflict. The Bible both warns of wars and points to ultimate peace in Jesus Christ. “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet…” — Ezekiel 38:5 (NKJV) Who is “Persia” in the Bible? The Bible refers to the ancient empire known as Persia, whose territory and identity correspond to modern-day Iran. The name Persia was used in Scripture and world history, while the modern nation officially adopted the name Iran in 1935. In biblical prophecy, Persia = Iran is a recognizable geopolitical entity linked to end-time events described by the prophet Ezekiel. The Prophecy of Gog and Magog Ezekiel chapters 38–39 describe a powerful leader called Gog, from the land of Magog, who leads a coalition of nations against Israel in the “latter days.” This coalition specifically includes Persia, making Iran the only nation in the prophecy still known today by essentially the same geographic identity. Key Prophetic Details Include: Israel dwelling securely in the land. A multi-nation alliance rising against her. God supernaturally intervening to defend Israel and glorify His name among the nations. What This Means (Interpretive Summary) Persia’s Role Persia is clearly listed as part of the end-times alliance that comes against Israel. This event is commonly referred to as the Battle of Gog and Magog. Iran Today Modern Iran’s leadership has openly expressed hostility toward Israel. Many Bible teachers see this hostility as consistent with the role Persia plays in Ezekiel’s prophecy. Important note: Scripture names Persia, not modern political movements. Any modern application is interpretive, not dogmatic. A Larger Biblical Pattern Persia in History Persia once played a God-ordained role in blessing Israel. Cyrus the Great, king of Persia, was used by God to free the Jewish exiles and allow the rebuilding of the Temple (Ezra 1; Isaiah 45). Persia in Prophecy In Ezekiel, Persia appears again, this time aligned against Israel. This shift highlights God’s sovereignty over nations across different eras. God raises nations up, uses them for His purposes, and holds them accountable in His perfect timing. Final Thoughts God is fully sovereign over history and prophecy. The inclusion of Persia (Iran) in Ezekiel 38–39 does not mean every modern conflict is prophetic fulfillment, but it does call believers to watch, pray, and remain anchored in Scripture. The ultimate message of Gog and Magog is not fear, but God’s glory, faithfulness, and protection of His covenant promises. Study Tip Read Ezekiel 38–39 slowly and alongside Israel’s modern history. Pay attention to what God says He will do, not just what the nations plan to do. The Bow of Elam: (Jeremiah 49:34–39) The prophecy of the Bow of Elam is one of the most overlooked passages in Scripture, yet it is remarkably specific and carefully worded. Elam was an ancient kingdom east of Babylon, centered around Susa, in what is now southwestern Iran. In the Bible, Elam was known for its archers. Their military strength was symbolized by the bow, which is why the imagery in Jeremiah is so intentional. “Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.” (Jeremiah 49:35) In prophetic language, the bow represents military power and the ability to wage war. God is not merely predicting a lost battle. He is declaring the removal of Elam’s war-making capacity. What Elam trusted in most is what God addresses directly. The prophecy then describes Elam being scattered in all directions. This language points to dispersion, loss of unity, and regional destabilization. Elam does not simply lose strength; it loses cohesion and centralized power. Jeremiah also speaks of terror and collapse coming upon Elam. Fear, confusion, and political unraveling accompany the judgment. This is not only a military defeat but a national shaking. Yet the prophecy does not end there. God declares that He will set His throne in Elam. This statement signals divine sovereignty. God does not merely defeat Elam; He asserts His authority over the region. The purpose is rule, not eradication. Finally, the passage closes with hope. In the latter days, God promises to restore Elam. Judgment is not the final word. God preserves a future for the people and the land, showing once again that His judgments are measured and redemptive. The larger message is clear. God breaks what nations trust in most. Military power does not decide history. The Lord does! The shooters at Bondi were motivated by their understanding of Islam and the Quran. But why is it that only one expression of religious extremism ever results in violence? Could it possibly have something to do with the Islamic religious texts themselves? Why is it that when Jews or Christians become more serious about their faith, they become better citizens and more moral, whereas when Muslims are ‘radicalised’ it routinely results in death and destruction? This is a consistent historical pattern which has occurred ever since the time of Muhammad. But it’s a reality which every honest person now recognises as being true. Especially after being confronted with the horrific terrorist attack on Jews celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach . Growing Antisemitism in Australia It was only a matter of months ago that nearly a hundred thousand people marched across the Sydney Harbour Bridge — with an enormous picture of the Ayatollah leading the way — in support of Palestine. It didn’t take long for the Australian government to fall into line and recognise a Palestinian state even when ASIO reported that Iranian operatives have been actively seeking to subvert public opinion and garner political support. I wonder what the people who participated in those politically performative acts of virtue signalling think of their actions now? Do they feel any regret or remorse at all? Are they willing to even consider that their public support of Islamists might have had any connection at all to the cold-blooded murder of Jewish people having a picnic by another river to the sea? Would they be willing to walk across the bridge again in support of the innocent people who have died? I think we all know what the answer to that question is going to be. There were no starving or emaciated children to identify with this time. Only people savagely gunned down while peacefully relaxing on a Sydney summer’s Sunday afternoon. Sadly, it seems that public displays of virtue signalling are only done when there is no potential for personal risk. Or social media ‘likes’. Muslim Council of Elders Respond to Bondi Massacre While the Muslim Council of Elders immediately condemned the attacks because they were against civilians, they were just as quick to point the finger of blame elsewhere. The Media Line reported: The council urged governments and international bodies to intensify efforts to confront hate speech, extremism, and racism, describing those forces as drivers of repeated attacks on civilians worldwide. It said preventing future violence requires not only security measures but sustained work to address underlying causes through dialogue, mutual respect, and broader cooperation among societies. So, the problem according to the Muslim Council of Elders is “hate speech, extremism and racism”? Really? As I asked before, why is it that only one expression of religious extremism ever results in violence? Could it possibly have something to do with the Islamic religious texts themselves? The Qur’an and “the People of the Book” In an excellent three-part series of lectures, Dr. Mark Durie outlines the religious dimension to the conflict between Islam and what the Quran (Qur’an) calls “the People of the Book”. It makes for sobering listening but is more important now than ever. Dr Durie is one of Australia’s leading experts on Islam and has published numerous books on the topic. Significantly, Durie points out that the official constitution of Hamas — based on the traditions of Muhammad — states: The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fights the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. No amount of nuance can avoid the conclusion that the stated end goal of Hamas, and indeed the Qur’an itself, is the complete subjugation of Jews. What’s more, this has often led to Muslims who are ‘radicalised’ as committing acts of violence. Maybe this explains why none of the surrounding Islamic nations have offered asylum to any Palestinians during the recent war with Israel? Muslims would quickly object that the above quote is not from the actual Qur’an and hence doesn’t carry divine authority. However, Dr. Durie helpfully observes that the Qur’an is even more expansive and he provides following twelve-point summary. 1. The Jews are Deceivers (Q2:77) 2. The Jews have falsified the Scriptures (Q2:75 also Q5:13) 3. The Jews are cursed by God for the unbelief (Q4:46 as well as Q5:64) 4. The Jews are cursed by David and Jesus (Q5:78) 5. The Jews will be turned into apes and pigs (Q5:60, see also Q7:166; Q2:65) 6. The Jews only care about this life and not the next (Q2:96) 7. The Jews are treacherous (Q5:13) 8. The Jews are the greatest enemies of Islam (Q5:82) 9. The Jews will not love Muslims (Q2:120) 10. The Jews start wars and cause trouble (Q5:64) 11. The Jews ‘claim’ they killed Jesus (Q4:157) 12. The Jews are ‘losers’ (Q2:27) To be fair, there are some nice words about Jews in the Qur’an such as: The Jews are Allah’s only chosen people (Q2:47, 122) Allah protected the Jews when they were living as strangers in a foreign land (Q28:46) Allah chose all his prophets from the Jewish people (Q5:20) Allah would be kind to Jews (and Christians) who believed in one God and performed good works. (Q2:62) Allah would bless Jews (and Christians) who practiced the teachings of their holy books. (Q5:44, 66) In the broader context of how the Qur’an says Muslims should actually treat Jews — and also Christians — these verses do nothing to alleviate people’s fear. What’s more, according to Muslim scholarship Allah revealed these in the early days of Islam. When Muhammad’s claims and revelations were contrary to the Bible and he realized that the Jews would not accept him as the final prophet he began punishing them and dictated new revelations. Muslims deal with the contradictions by this doctrine of abrogation (referred to as ‘Naskh’), and accept the latter words as the final word to be obeyed. Which would explain why we still see a huge number of Muslims willing to kill Jews, even outside Gaza. Afterall, they’re only following the example of their Islamic founding fathers as well as the instruction of their Supreme Leader. Understanding the Qur’an in a Pluralistic Society Clearly the content of the Qur’an itself reveals a deep antipathy towards the people of Israel. This is not to say that the Jewish nation is in comparison perfect, but simply to point out that the ponging violence we’re witnessing is profoundly religious in nature. Indeed, the word ‘Hamas’ is translated as ‘violence’ in Hebrew. In a pluralistic society we must understand and appreciate the fact that people are profoundly shaped by their religious texts. Yet, too many politicians and secular journalists minimise the significance of this connection. And for Muslims in particular, the Qur’an is an extremely important document. In the coming months and days watch for a resurgence of hash tags such as #NotAllMuslims. It was why someone at Channel 9 made the decision to send a female Muslim journalist immediately to the scene. However, no amount of political posturing, media deflection or social spin can hide the fact that this is motivated by a deep religious antipathy of the Jewish people. Maybe now people in Australia will finally wake to the danger which lies hidden in our suburbs and the ongoing religiously motivated hostility for the People of the Book.
