Harvest Church Caloundra

Home-groups & Bible study
In our church we strongly encourage fellowship in many ways in various forms & capacities.
But our approach & practice might be different that some Christians expect or are used to in regards to Home / life / Bible study groups.
Protecting the unity of the church
We have observed over time that when home groups don't have a qualified & anointed leader, they have the potential to go stale or off-track or even worse they turn into gossip & opinion groups that don't align with the vision, mission & doctrine of the church. Or some push their "pet" doctrine instead of coming to learn & serve in humility.
The calling of the church
The calling of the church is first of all discipleship, training & teaching the foundational doctrines: Matthew 28: 18-20, Hebrews 6:1-3 We do have different groups led by qualified teachers with the aim of training in the foundations of knowing & serving Christ and / or deeper teaching in sound doctrine & Biblical (end-time) prophesies, including the Book of Revelation. Our groups are mixed in ages & gender, as that is far better then separating in gender & age; young & old, male & female loving it. Even though separate age & gender groups is common practice in many churches, there is no Biblical foundation for this, on the contrary: Acts 1:14, Ephesians 3:17-19
Times & church life has changed
Times & church life has changed very much in regards to available time due to peoples work & family life & society in general & technology. People have less & less time to commit to a specific regular time due to many commitments & distractions. That's why we also encourage people to do the on-line courses that Derek Prince Ministries offers. You can do the studies at your own level, pace & timing. Derek Prince has a proven track record & his teaching fully aligns what we as a church believe doctrinally.
