More concerns about the WHO "pandemic" treaty

A new report is raising serious questions about how future pandemic threats could be identified and reported.

According to WHO guidance on influenza viruses with pandemic potential, countries must immediately report a laboratory-confirmed human infection involving certain influenza A viruses — and the guidance states: “Evidence of illness is NOT required for this report.”

In other words, a person does not necessarily have to be showing symptoms or clinical illness for such an infection to trigger international reporting.

After everything the world experienced during COVID — lockdowns, school and business closures, travel restrictions, mandates, and unprecedented emergency powers — we should ask serious questions about what standard of evidence governments should require before escalating their response to a potential pandemic.
